Tune in Tuesday is a weekly music feature hosted by the fabulous Ginger at GReads. As some of you may know, I am ridiculously addicted to music. One of my favorite things to do is share the music I enjoy. Each week we'll be posting some of our favorites to spread the love of music. So link up and join the fun!
We are now at the end of My Teen Years edition of Tune in Tuesday, folks. It was such a blast getting to see what everyone listened to during those pivotal years. It was also fun trying to remember what I listened to during those days.
For my last post, I've decided to focus on one specific age. For some reason, 19 tends to get looked over when thinking of teenagers, I think. Maybe it's because people consider you an "adult" when you turn 18... though you don't drop the "teen" at the end of your age until a couple years later. So, this week's edition of Tune in Tuesday is dedicated to that forgotten teen year: 19! Happy listening!
Sweetness by Jimmy Eat World
Zak and Sara by Ben Folds
Mercy Kiss by Abandoned Pools
Caught By the River by Doves
Hurricane by Something Corporate
For more from My Teen Years edition, check these out:
Week 1: featuring Backstreet Boys, Edwin McCain, Jewel, Matchbox Twenty and No Doubt
Week 2: featuring Vertical Horizon, Sixpence None the Richer, Sarah McLachlan, Natalie Imbruglia and Dido
Week 3: featuring Savage Garden, Eve 6, The Corrs, Switchfoot, Evan and Jaron, and Echo & the Bunnymen
Ahhh Jimmy Eat World...Bleed American was a great CD. I was sad that I didn't really get into it when it first released, but somehow I attached onto it during my freshman year of college in '05. Still, better late than never to recognize good music! Ben Folds also has some of the best musicality and talent in the biz.

I listened to a lot of Jimmy Eat World and Something Corporate back in the day. Nice picks!
ReplyDeleteJimmy Eat World and Something Corporate?! Totally in love with this, hahaha. I love the entire Bleed American album, but Sweetness is one of my favourites off that album.

I really enjoyed hearing Something Corporate! I'm a huge Jack's Mannequin fan and knew Andrew had been apart of another band beforehand but I'm not familiar with any of there music.
