Tune in Tuesday (49) - My Teen Years!


Tune in Tuesday is a weekly music feature hosted by the fabulous Ginger at GReads. As some of you may know, I am ridiculously addicted to music. One of my favorite things to do is share the music I enjoy. Each week we'll be posting some of our favorites to spread the love of music. So link up and join the fun!

Ready for more teen tunes? I sure hope so, because it's time to share music from when I was 15 and 16. Yikes! :) I'm noticing that it's getting harder and harder to narrow down my picks as the month progresses. This was a time of some really awesome music, so that's not too terribly surprising I guess. Happy listening!


Sweet Surrender by Sarah McLachlan

This was my first Sarah McLachlan album and I think I pretty much killed it from listening to it so often. She has such a gorgeous voice! I always wanted to be able to sing like her.


I Can't Catch You by Sixpence None the Richer

I adore this album! I remember buying it because I loved Kiss Me (as I'm sure most people did, too), but then I really fell in love with how different it was.


Left of the Middle by Natalie Imbruglia

I know Torn is probably everybody's favorite, but this was mine. I could listen to this song over and over again. Still can, really.


Thank You by Dido

Though I love Life for Rent more than this album, this one is still amazing. Best song? Thank You... hands down. I've always loved the video, too.



Vertical Horizon is such a great band and this song is fantastic. Gah! I love it. :)

    Such girl power music you listened to! haha I remember listening to all of them, too. I like how we both chose Sarah McLachlan.. though I think I was listening to her a little earlier than you, ha.

    Haven't listened to any of these... I guess they were before my time so it's great to be introduced to some music that is new to me! I really like the Sweet Surrender and ACTAULLY after listening to the songs I have heard Thank You and I LOVE that song... I just didn't know the name! Great picks :)

    I do really like Thank You by Dido whenever I hear it though I always think of Stan by Eminem lol.

    GREAT girl music in here! I've never listened to anything by Sixpence None the Richer other than Kiss Me, but I wish I'd had this when I was still in my teen years! And like most other commenters, I can't help but think of Stan when I hear Thank You. I loved Eminem (he'll be in mine next week!), and they still play Dido on the radio here.
