Tune in Tuesday (110): City and Colour

Tune in Tuesday is a weekly music feature created by Ginger at GReads, but is now hosted by the ever-fabulous Katelyn of Kate's Tales of Books and Bands. As some of you may know, I am ridiculously addicted to music. One of my favorite things to do is share the music I enjoy. Each week we'll be posting some of our favorites to spread the love of music. So link up and join the fun!

So remember how I mentioned last week that I was able to see Frightened Rabbit the previous week? Well, this week is dedicated to someone I saw last Friday! I was so incredibly excited to see City and Colour live, you have no idea. Not only did I get to see him, but I also got to see The Paper Kites open the show! Oh my gosh, I really did almost die from sheer joy.

Talk about being ridiculously talented, oh my word! Dallas is SO FREAKING AMAZING live, you guys! He's so funny and he really knows how to interact with the crowd. I was so entranced by his awesomeness, I took like one picture... and it was blurry, of course. I dragged my sister with me again, so if she ever sends me her pictures, I'll share them with you. But seriously, if you have the opportunity to see City and Colour live, DO IT! You definitely won't regret it.

Last week I shared some tracks from Frightened Rabbit's newest album, so I think I'll do the same for City and Colour. If you haven't heard it yet, The Hurry and the Harm is a stellar album. So without further ado, here are some of my favorites from the new album. Happy listening, everyone!

Harder Than Stone

Check out the acoustic version, too. So amazing.

Paradise

This song is... it's so... it's just so me right now. Love.

The Way it Used to Be

This track is on the deluxe edition of the album. It's sad, but beautiful at the same time.

Be sure to pick up his album!

  1. Goodness gracious girl!!! I am beyond jealous of all your awesome concert-going-experiences right now. It really makes me wish I lived by a bigger city so. As for City and Colour, I love this band something fierce. Seriously, AMAZING! I am so glad you were able to see them :)

    1. I hadn't really been doing a lot lately. I mean, I live in one of the largest cities in the country and I'm just going to work and coming home? I decided I was going to try to seize more opportunities while I have them here. There have been so many concerts I've wanted to go to but didn't for some odd reason, so I figured what the heck? Why shouldn't I do what I want to do?! :P

And oh my goodness, City and Colour was a fantastic concert. I want him to come back again... like right now. lol!
