Tune in Tuesday is a weekly music feature originally hosted by the fabulous Ginger at GReads. However, for the time being, Katelyn of Kate's Tales of Books and Bands will be hosting. As some of you may know, I am ridiculously addicted to music. One of my favorite things to do is share the music I enjoy. Each week we'll be posting some of our favorites to spread the love of music. So link up and join the fun!
Whilst trying to figure out what to share this week, my mind kept going back to this one song. It's been getting warmer here in Arizona (it's supposed to be 80 degrees the next couple days! WHAT?! it's freakin' January! that's just not natural! GRR) and I was really missing a "real" winter. Then this song popped up on my iPod and instantly sounded like autumn/winter to me. It was a simple, beautiful little thing and it had a banjo. A banjo! For some reason, I have been seriously in love with banjos lately! I mean, I always knew they were amazing, but I've been particularly fond of them recently. Anyway, this song is really awesome and this band is really awesome and the new video is awesome too. Oh, and at about 2:55 to the end is pretty much my favorite part. Strings make me all warm and fuzzy. Happy listening!

If you're like me and one listen just isn't enough for you, be sure to check out the fabulous acoustic version of this song right HERE!
Oh wow. I have never heard this song or this band. I am really liking it. Thanks for sharing. Great pick.
ReplyDeleteOh my word, I am simply in love with this song! 2:55-ish is my favorite too! All those string instruments come together and it's just pure musical magic. Great post!
ReplyDeleteA band called Trampled by Turtles? I like them already! The song is nice too. :) If you want cold weather, have some of mine -- today's high was something like 23 degrees Fahrenheit!
ReplyDeleteMy pick for this week.
